Nearly a decade ago in Minneapolis, we set our spicy ambitions into
an organic motion. Now we offer over 200 organic spices, blends to tickle Minnesota
palates with the freshest spices hand-blended and hand-ground in in our store. Taste pure
all-natural and organic spices crafted with the ancient knowledge of combining spices
outlined in Ayurveda a food system from India. Our spices are selected to screen out
artificial sweeteners, genetic modifications, and irradiation, ensuring purity.

Spices for Spring Cooking - Look ouside the apple blossoms are blooming. Bring
some bows in and sit doen to have some seasonal chow flavored with our spices. Flavor
Vegetables like asparagus, cauliflower, greens, beets, turnip, kohlrabi, mushrooms,
parsnips, peas, radishes, rhubarb, bok choi, chard, collard, dandelion, kale, mustard,
spinach. At this time add a side of yogurt salsa flavored with fresh seasonal chives,
cilantro, dill, oregano, parsley and our Raita, Persian Mast O Kiar, and Greek Tatziki
spices.
Summer; Summers heat is cooled by vegetables. We have over 30 spice blends to
flavor Minnesota's summer bounty. Fresh berries and sliced fruits and added to plain
yogurt may be flavored with our organic sugars for a cooking snack.
Fall: Bring color and grace the fall table with a colorful variety of squashes
and the many veggies that are piled high at our Farmers markets. You will be in food
nirvana with squash flavored with our Bengali panch phoran, Arabic Baharat and our Subzi
vegetable spices.
Winter: Winter is a great time to cook frozen, dried and stored produce, grains and meats
with our spices.
Our commitment to local farmers is evident in the many seasonal varieties of fresh
fruits and vegetables cooking classes at our store in Osseo.

Okra Vegetable Recipe

Ingredients: ( Serves : 6)
1 lb. tender okra (bhindi), washed and dried and cut
1 large onion, chopped finely
1 medium tomato diced
1 tsp. ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp. red chilli powder or to taste
1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
1 tsp. garam masala powder
2 tbsp. oil
Salt to taste
Other Seasoning
1 tbsp. fried onions
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp. coconut powder
1 green chilli minced
Salt to taste
Method:
Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped onion and fry till it's brown in colour. Add ginger
garlic, turmeric, garam masala, chilli powder and salt to taste and okra. Saute and fry
the okra till coated with the onions. Add other seasonings and tomato and stir them in.
Cover and simmer till the okra changes color and becomes soft. |
